GENERALS
-The characteristics of carbon steel balls is a hardened case with a soft, tough core. It serves in many applications where hardness of more expensive chrome steel ball is not required.

MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS
-Carburized case with a soft core, good resistance to shock. Crush loads are lower than high carbon chrome. Properties are not as uniform as high carbon chrome.

HARDNESS
-Rockwell C-60 minimum equivalent flat surface values transposed from measurement on curved surface.

USAGE
-Rotating part of bicycles, casters, ball transfer, etc.
